PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Join the SAITennial Squad to help create a memorable birthday party for children living at the Inn from the Cold shelter. The ‘Birthday Party Crew’ will decorate the room, lead fun activities and crafts for the various age groups, make goodie bags, and serve cake and treats. It may seem like a quick task, but this birthday party will create wonderful memories and have a lasting impact for very deserving kids.

DETAILS:

Date: Friday, Feb. 24, 2017

Time: 6:30 pm – 9 pm

6:30 - 7 pm - decorate the room
7 - 8 pm - 4 stations of crafts and activities, as well as a treat station
8 - 8:15 pm - give out goodie bags
8:15 - 9 pm - clean up

Number of volunteers required: 12*

Location: Inn from the Cold Emergency Shelter - 110 11 Ave SE

Registration Opens: Friday, Oct. 24, 2016

Registration Closes: Friday, Jan. 6, 2017

NOTES:

• Volunteers will be required to complete a police check to participate in this event (you will be provided with a letter and will be reimbursed for the cost) 
• This position may include long periods of standing, as well as bending and twisting, and interacting with children as young as 2 years old
• Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the cake and snacks with party participants, if available, but no additional food and beverages will be provided    
• Additional waivers may be required to participate in this event
