Alumni Centennial Day

Welcome back to the SAITbourhood! This is your chance to come back to campus for a pre-100th birthday celebration especially for alumni. Start the afternoon with family-friendly tailgating activities, then cheer on your SAIT Trojans as they battle the NAIT Ooks for Alberta ice supremacy. The day ends with a good ol’ fashioned alumni reunion mixer – food, live entertainment and celebrating with your fellow SAIT graduates!

100th Birthday Celebration

Celebrations for this free event kick off at noon with a BBQ lunch for the first 2,500 guests, followed by the opening of our 1966 time capsule. Afterwards, head to the Family Fun Zone, go on a campus tour, try a skill or get active in the gym, pool or skating with the Trojans. Take a walk through our 100 Years of Wheels & Wings: The School of Transportation Car, Truck & Helicopter Show with a Lego Lab for the little ones. Be one of the first 2,000 guests to arrive at our ceremonial cake cutting event and get a piece for yourself! An entertaining and enlightening Speaker Series is taking place in MacDonald Hall with speakers at 1 pm, 2:15 pm and 4 pm

Go down in SAIT history by taking lots of pictures along the way for our centennial photo mosaic (#SAIT100) which will also be included in our new time capsule to be opened in 2116. Enjoy the entertainment, food and other activities, including an Alumni Lounge. Cap the day off by joining us on the Cohos Common Field at 6 pm for a free concert by Juno Award winning artist, Dan Mangan, followed by an amazing fireworks finale at 1916 hours (get it?!).
